I remember very vividly our experience of constantly allowing our kindness and goodwill to be used against us by people that meant harm to us. I remember the 2 years of mental and emotional torture that we endured just in hopes of being able to turn the tides and hope that one day he would realize his wrong doings and change for the better. We wanted to do the 'Right' thing however in that quest, we did wrong by us. We allowed ourselves to be mistreated, disrespecting, hurt, betrayed, lied to, cheated on just because we thought our actions were being 'righteous'...

Though the Universe tried to show us multiple times that we needed to let him go, we chose to stay on until it came to the point where he completely ruined everything we've ever built; leaving us penniless, broken and beginners all over again.

Healing from an experience such as this wasn't an easy thing to do. However what we've come to realize is that, though others may have meant us harm, God will always make it right for us. By allowing ourselves to rise about the situation, to release the anger inside and to forgive, we reclaimed our power from him over us; never again letting ourselves be a subject of abuse to someone else's plight. That doesn't mean what he did was okay, it just simply means that we accept it as part of our experience and lesson in order to prepare us for the greatness that is to come.

We know that our lives is bigger than any one moment; and that by allowing ourselves to feel pain, anger, sorrow, hatred, grief, we also allow ourselves to revel in love, joy, happiness and forgiveness. After all, God is in control...
