Wisdom From This Stone :

"If you find yourself attracted to this stone, chances are is that you may have been deeply hurt in a way before which may have broken your confidence and beliefs; causing a sense of self doubt to creep up on your voice, your thoughts and your dreams.

You may often find yourself confused with who you are and what you want, tussling back and forth between the voices of those that vilifies you versus your own inner voice.

In times like these, we sometimes find the relationships around us getting sour; be it work, friendship, family or even spouses. It's as if, all of the people that we treasure the most are turning their backs on us...

It's as if, you're all alone...

Though being called to this stone often means you have some unresolved emotional toxicity within you, it also means that you are ready to begin your journey of healing.

This stone teaches us that the first step towards healing the negativity that has taken over our hearts and soul, is to recognise that the way someone treats you has absolutely NOTHING to do with your self-worth/who you are as a person.

In fact it has everything to do with how that person is currently experiencing life; simply because 'hurt people' hurt people. It is impossible for someone who is in love with themselves to hurt someone else, regardless what they may have done; because hurting someone else feels like we are betraying ourselves which feels even worse than having the opportunity to take revenge. If you've ever been in love with yourself before, you'll understand what I mean by this.

This beautiful crystal aids us in letting go the emotions that no longer serves our higher purpose, while allowing the traumas to flow like water; accepting it as a crucial part of our 'Emotional Growth'.

Apart from that, the aquamarine helps us forge a beautiful relationship with the pain in our lives; teaching us that our biggest breakthroughs often comes from our most painful moments. It brings about a powerful sense of 'hope' in our darkest hour, while giving us the courage to face our inner insecurities and to work on them one step at a time.

Through these experiences, the Aquamarine also fills us with a sense of deep love and pride for ourselves; helping us appreciate ourselves for the person that we are; the good, the bad and everything in between.

By making peace with ourselves, we achieve a state of happiness that seems alien to those around us, thus drawing out their insecurities which causes them to project their inner demons unto us.

This often comes in the form of getting irritated with you unnecessarily, blaming you for mistakes you didn't make or even finding faults just to unsettle you.

Though this may spark doubt in yourself, it is sometimes crucial to ask ourselves in moments like these, 'Have they grown too comfortable disrespecting me?'

Through this journey of healing, the Aquamarine helps us restore our sense of self-worth, bringing back our confidence to communicate our truths to the world while helping us express our true heart's desires.

It raises us to resonate with the vibrations of love and truth, thus connecting us with our Divine Angels which intuitively fills us up with a sense of being 'Guided', 'Protected' or 'Loved'. This states allows for Grace to flow into our lives, creating more synchronicities in our daily experiences; thus bringing about a strong sense of 'Luck' into our lives.

The Aquamarine also aids in bringing the love and excitement back into the lives of married couples by helping them to let go of hidden resentments; bringing about the energy of love into heated moments. It heals the relationships around us; bringing a deeper understanding over the barriers that we have built against love.

It brings a feeling of 'resolve' not only to ourselves, but to the people that are in contact with our atmosphere; thus bringing about the powerful qualities of 'Forgiveness', 'Compassion' and 'Understanding' into any situation...

This stone is also known as the stone to turn enemies into friends and honors the Goddess Guan Yin; known for her unconditional love and compassion.."

Myths & Legends :

Legend tells us that Aquamarine is the favourite stone of mermaids. Romans believed this stone had the magical powers to turn enemies into friends, reawaken the love of married couples and has the ability to absorb the atmosphere of young love; when worn, it does great things together out of love.

There are many myths about this stone, such as a symbol of happiness and everlasting youth to the Sumerians, Egyptians and Hebrews.

It was said that sailors would often bring the stone with them, and when offered to the mermaids, they are guaranteed safe passage through the seas.

Another story shares about how sailors often threw aquamarines in the ocean as an offering whenever the seas got rough. It was said that by doing this, the sea would calm down thus granting them safe passage through. Many believed that this ritual is still practised until this day.

On another account, the Romans and Ancient Greeks would use it as an amulet to guarantee safe travels by sea. It was also believed to help cure sea sickness.

Apart from that, it was used by Ancient Roman doctors to treat poor digestion and other eating disorder; often using it to create elixirs by purifying water, or carving goblets out of it and drinking from it. It was also used as an amulet for pain relief and good health.

The aquamarine is also said to bring good catch, good fortune and property to those who bring it on their fishing boat.

Mystical Lore :

According to ancient legends, there was a tribe of sailors who lived by the sea. They were said to be the guardians of the Aquamarine stone, which they believed was a gift from the mermaids that roamed the depths of the ocean. The stone was said to hold powerful qualities that could heal the body and mind, protect against danger, and even grant the wearer magical powers.

Legend had it that in ancient times, the Aquamarine stone was used by the Greeks and Romans as a symbol of love, hope, and happiness. In fact, the name "Aquamarine" comes from the Latin term 'aqua marina', which translates to "water of the sea."

It was said that the stone was not only beautiful, but it could also summon the power of the sea to protect those who wore it. This made it a coveted stone for sailors, who often wore Aquamarines as talismans to protect them from the dangers of the ocean.

There were also tales of mystical creatures that lived inside the stone, guarding its secrets and powers. Some believed that the stone was infused with the spirit of the sea itself, and that wearing it could grant the wearer the power to communicate with the beings that lived in the ocean's depths.

As time went on, the Aquamarine stone became a popular gemstone for royalty and nobility. Its beautiful blue hue was believed to represent eternal youth and wisdom, and it was often given as a gift to signify loyalty and trust.

Today, the Aquamarine stone is still regarded as a symbol of love, hope, and happiness. It is commonly used in engagement rings and other forms of jewelry, and its popularity continues to grow.

Despite its beauty and popularity, however, there are still many mysteries surrounding the Aquamarine stone. Some believe that it holds powerful spiritual energy, while others feel that it is a portal to other dimensions or realms.

Whatever the truth may be, the Aquamarine stone remains a fascinating and enchanting symbol of the mysteries and legends of the sea...
